Although Knight painted various subjects, her reputation was founded on paintings of the ballet and the circus, which became predominant after she moved to London. Technically of a high standard, her narrative realist works were painted in bright colours and have limited depth of expression (e.g. Ballet, 1936).
More likely it’s an original print (Not a model digital print). Signed. It’s very old.

This framed drawing has a letter on the back, which reads
“From a screen on Belvoir Castle which has been in the Manners family for over 150 years. It was covered with caricatures and drawings by famous artists of the day.
This is reputed a Rowlandson. It was removed from the screen and presented to Miss McCrichie (sp) the Secretary to the present Duchess of Rutland and Miss Kelly who had been commissioned to have the screen covered with tapestry.
It’s not a print but definitely a pen & watercolour drawing. Not sure if it’s orginal but It looks quite old. Just selling it as an reproduction price.

Both painting & gold ornate frame in excellent condition.
More likely it would be a copy of Johan Laurentz Jensen as the signature is different from Johan’s usual but it is a lovely piece. Selling just for a reproduction price.
